This historic family winery, of limited production, dedicates itself with care to crafting singular wines, which preserve the authenticity of an idyllic enclave that is pure Galicia.
Experimental winery
In Santiago Ruiz we have our greatest treasure at the foot of our winery in Tomiño, just 12 kilometres from the old one. Here we innovate and deepen our knowledge of native varietals, such as Albariño and Loureiro, from to the way they are affected by different production methods to the effects of early leaf thinning on the vine itself, to learn and apply the knowledge to other varietals.

Taking care of the finer details
Committed to the original philosophy of our winery, in Santiago Ruiz we take care to preserve this identifying trait for which we are recognised. Love and care in vine growing and winemaking, exclusivity and limited production, maintaining stringency in the personalised attention and hand selection of the bunches of grapes from our own vineyard.
Our particular way of doing things combines O Rosal's traditional winemaking techniques with generations of family knowledge of care for the vines and the most innovative techniques. A method with which we seek to study our land and native varieties.
Our surroundings are idyllic, a typical Galician landscape. In the heart of San Miguel de Tabagón, surrounded by flowers, orange trees and ancient vines, we keep the charm of our old family home and winery alive. We welcome visitors to our small museum, in a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere, where time passes slowly.
OUR HISTORIC WINERY HOME
Throughout the years, we have preserved all the objects that link us to the world of wine, objects that form part of our small family museum.
“Your wine, Santiago, resists the passage of time without losing quality, even getting better with every vintage. Your winery is the initial cell of the great winemaking future that we desire for Galicia."
