The Spanish wine magazine Vivir el Vino has kicked off 2019 by publishing a new edition of its guide A Year in 365 Wines, which features a collection of wines that the team of specialist tasters deem worthy of the title \u00abMagn\u00edficos\u00bb or \u201cMagnificent\u201d.<\/h4>\n

Lead by the sommelier Ra\u00fal Serrano, the team tasted 1,600 samples of wines<\/strong> sourced from all over the Spanish peninsular, from which they selected 365 to include in the guide<\/strong>. Only a mere 11 wines were awarded the \u00abMagn\u00edfico\u00bb<\/strong> prize.<\/p>\n

And it gives us great pride that our Rosa Ruiz 2017<\/strong> was named the Best Young White Wine<\/strong> by this prestigious guide. We want to thank the Vivir el Vino<\/strong> group for the honour they have bestowed on us with this award, which reminds us of the pride that we feel for the heritage passed down from our founder Santiago Ruiz<\/strong>.
\nHis daughter Rosa Ruiz,<\/strong> who inherited his love of the land and attention to detail<\/strong>, lends her name to this exceptional wine<\/strong>, the first wine produced that is different to Santiago Ruiz<\/strong>, and which bears a label loaded with significance and sentiment, expressing the union between father and daughter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This limited edition wine<\/strong> is sourced from old Albari\u00f1o<\/strong> vines trained in traditional pergolas located at the foot of the historic winery<\/strong>, where Rosa learnt the winery’s unique philosophy and love of the land<\/strong> from her father.
\nThis prize serves to further deepen the responsibility that each member of the winery team feels in taking on the viticultural and vinicultural legacy<\/strong> of Santiago Ruiz<\/strong>, an inimitable and fundamental character in the story of wine production in the R\u00edas Baixas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
